09/11: Last word

I stopped making entries on this blog after sometime, because it seemed to me as if I am just following bloodshed everyday and its of no good use at all. The conflict was getting prolonged, west remained silent till Israel achieved the purposes (partially) and Muslim East remained silent in the fear that this might mean giving popular support to the Hizbollah which is still Shia't group.
In the end, if I look at the situation from different aspects:
1. Israel:
Israel called it a failed attempt and they didn't achieve anything except for more popular Arab and Muslim hatred. There has also been news of inquiry into why IDF chief sold all his shares before the conflict got into full throtle? And also around reasons like why did the whole campaign failed to achieve the targets even when pushed with such a brute force? At the present what Israel is said to be doing is getting in secret negotiation with Hizbollah for the prisoner exchange.

2. Palestine:
Well Palestine is the softest target in the world like always. They continue to be bombed and killed every day/night. Israel wants to kill one militant and they kill another few dozen as a bonus. Palestine at the moment is on edge of civil war as world is still blocking funds and accounts of Hamas led Government, the Government cannot pay the people even the police and their is wide spread anarchy at different places and fighting between Hamas and Fatah gunmen is a common thing!

3. Iran:
Said to be a main member of the whole thing and the backers of Hizbollah, Iran was easily able to take care of the problems against it, and now almost no one is talking about what and how Iran supported Hizbollah, they are more focused on the Iranian Nuclear issue, which also got a back seat to North Korean actual nuclear testing.

4. Syria:
Along with Iran it was recently accused of trying to topple the Lebanon Govt, so that the results of the Hirari assassination report are also blocked. But un-biased can easily see that it was due to the fact that the Hizbollah was asking for more seats in the assembly for reaching a settlement and USA just wanted to make a splash and made it by accusation on the Syria and Iran.

5. Hizbollah:
Its no hidden secret that Hizbollah couldn't fight the war for too long, after all it is not even close to a military strong force. Made up of peasents and local people what else it could do? But here in this conflict the Hizbollah was made to look larger than life and really dangerous, making a somewhat myth around it where it is seen as an enemy number one and can be used a pre-text to launch a major offensive on Iran and Syria at some later stage.
At the moment Hizbollah still has the both soldiers in custody and Israel is said to be under some secret talks.

6. UN:
A large UN contingent under France is said to be deployed after large problem including the German issue. Germany wanted a position where they come in no way in a position to happen to point a gun at a Jew or an Israeli target, learning largely from their history. UN which had initially called for an independent inquiry into: Qana massacre, bombing of the UN post and killing 4 UN personals, Hizbollah's civilian right abuse by firing into cities, and popular brute force method of Israel on cities are all now silent, sleeping somewhere forever now.

7. Lebanon:
This is last section to the Lebanon story I guess. Lebanon is hurt, all wounded from everywhere. Its tourism industry has collapsed for years to come. Its economic clock turned backward. The ecological disaster is paramount when even compared with the life loss. The bombing of oil reserves has polluted the sea bed even and coral reef are destroyed beyond repair. Its army is still non-existent and is trying its best to get into settlement with the Hizbollah and get respect it has all lost!

last line: Lebanon, a sad heartbreaking story repeated over and over again.

DAY-12: As we enter the 12th day of massacre, "UN is appalled", Mr Egeland, the UN's emergency relief chief, touring the city described it as "horrific". Is it horrific now? Or will it be in days to follow!
Today's poll according to AP:
Lebanon: at least 8 deaths: an eight-year old boy, a Lebanese photographer, three civilians fleeing in a minibus, and three Hizbollah fighters. Another target was the southern port of Sidon, a city not previously targeted by Israel, where 42,000 refugees from the surrounding area have flooded in the hope of safety. Also according to the BBC's Roger Hearing in the city a mosque was destroyed in one strike, which hit less than 500m (550 yards) from a hospital. At least four people were injured.
Israel:In Haifa, two people died as Hizbollah rockets struck the Israeli city. Fifteen people were reportedly injured, rockets struck a house and an industrial zone. One of the rocket exploded next to a carriageway, raking passing cars with shrapnel and ball bearings and killing a man in a nearby vehicle. A later barrage of missiles was reported to have injured five people.
Total: At least 364 civilian Lebanese have been killed in the 12 days; At least 36 Israelis have been killed, including 17 civilians.

DAY-11: As we enter the 11th day of crisis, I personally think, it has become more of a very grave human crisis and once again a crisis that is being crushed from sides under their own agenda.
